Base station dependent on users computer OS?

Excited about your sensors! Does the base station link up through an ethernet/router connection and therefore OS independant using HTML/java browser hookup to your sensor server OR does the base station hookup by USB to a local Windows PC routing/configuring the base station. If so any plans for a Mac version?

    Hello,

Thanks for your interest in CellarSensor!  The base station connects to the internet via ethernet using your existing DHCP enabled router.  No PC is required to use CellarSensor beyond setup.  We currently only support Windows for the setup utility.  In most cases, if DHCP works correctly on your router, the Windows based setup utility is not even required.  We are exploring a Mac setup utility but we do not have a launch date.

Please feel free to call with any other questions.

    Chris
